ChrisDaly.Art is an architectural photography website.

Daly works fluently in digital and film based photographic processes. The compositions employ negative space, tones, colour, monochrome and black and white to present an understated but detailed visual syntax.

“The objective of photographing an architectural project – including reference standard photography of models and drawings for archive – is to produce imagery that counters the ubiquity of phone screen representation and go further to provide a deeper, layered insight.

Outputs result from collaboration and curation with the client to identify the project’s key features and identity: its form, function and relationship with its surroundings using diverse perspectives to reveal the architectural narrative, influences and motivations in play.

The photographs aim to invite and promote reflection, enabling the viewer to transport themselves into the mise en scenes so as to enable a journey and a subjective discovery of atmosphere – how it feels to inhabit the space at hand.”

Daly studied at Camberwell & Chelsea Colleges of Art / University of the Arts London, gaining a Master’s Degree in Fine Art 2013, specialising in large format film based photography and also including video film and silk screen printing.
